Announcing Center Stage High School Musical Theater Awards
The Center Stage High School Musical Theater Awards is an education initiative that celebrates and supports the achievements of high school theater programs in Northeastern Wisconsin. Theater experts will serve as a team of adjudicators to provide feedback and determine awards for participating schools based on extraordinary achievements and processes of developing young artists, onstage and offstage. The program culminates with an annual awards showcase (modeled after the Tony Awards®) to recognize outstanding student performances.
Award Categories for 2016-17:

The program also provides students with opportunities to engage in the arts throughout the school year with learning opportunities at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center including master classes, workshops and special performance opportunities. Each year, two students will be nominated from the Center Stage High School Musical Theater Awards to represent the program at the National High School Musical Theater Awards in New York City.
Goals of the Center Stage High School Musical Theater Awards are to:
- Celebrate the artistic achievements of local high schools, students and teachers involved in their school’s musical theater program.
- Reinforce high school’s programs by providing high-quality learning opportunities.
- Engage students through the arts.
- Advocate for the importance of arts education.
Currently, the program is open to schools located within a 45-mile radius of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. Program registration will be accepted on a first come, first-served basis in spring 2016!
